Hi Shyloh,
Thanks for the information. I haven't posted here lately but had already come to the
conclusion that Fannie's husband was Harmon. Especially after I found their son
Jameie's death certificate.
However, since I haven't found any marriage records for them in Lawrence Co (and
I've looked several times) seeing Harmon living in 1880 with his brother Marcus &
his wife - Elizabeth - and that Fannie is with her parents - the Salisbury's in 1880 -
they were married sometime between the 1880 census and May 14 1886 when James
'Jamie' was born.
My cousin Esther has since passed away but I still look for any and all Caines connections
as we all connect back to Job Caines.
I'm curious where you find Hiram and Luvernia in the 1880 census - because I can't
find them at all... I use HeritageQuest through my library.
Also, I'm not sure why the discrepancy about Hiram and Luvernia's children.
Kentucky is not easy to search because they kept most records up until the Civil War and
then didn't record many - at least not births - unless someone just did it locally -
they didn't require them until 1911 again.
Gotta love it.
So you are researching "the William Henry Cains side" means you are interested
in the Caines back to Job also.
Keep in touch...
