Which family crest would that be:
- Sir Donnell Ballagh O'Cahan of the Ulster O'Cahan clan who registered arms ca
1600s,
- Sir Hall Caine of Man who registered arms when he was knighted after WW2
- William Cain, Lord Mayor of Melbourne, although Manx he mistakenly registered arms based
on those of an Irish Cain family.
- The O'Cahans of Ballymacloskey who although descended from a brother of Sir Donnell
O'Cahan used a far simpler coat of arms.
- The O'Cahans chiefs of Cenel Sedna, Co Galway, who used different arms again
- The family of brewer Robert Cain from Co Cork who settled in England & left a huge
will, a bogus pedigree and his own contribution to Cain/Kane coat armour
- Kanes of Dublin who may (repeat may) descend from the Ulster Kanes
-Keanes of Co Waterford who are almost certainly not Kanes but Keens.
- Kanes of Drumreaske who also claim Ulster descent
This is not an exhaustive list by any means.
