I have an ancestor named Martha CANE. She married Jesse DEVER
and together they had several children. I believe they were
married on 16 December 1806 in Claiborne Co., Tennessee ...
source unknown <sigh>.
The 1850 Monroe County, Indiana Census gives her name as
Patsey. Her name is given as Martha in her husband's 1867
estate record. In the 1873 application for pension she refers
to herself, saying that before she married she was Martha
CANE.
It is possible, but not confirmed, that she was an unrecorded
daughter of David CAIN and his wife Martha.

there is the following query:
"I also have Jesse Davor(s) in my line, his daughter Jane
married William Boruff. Their daughter Mary Magdeline was my
great grandmother. ..."
"More on Davor: Jane's mother was Patsy, she (Jane) had
two full siblings, David (born 1830) and Amanda (born 1826).
Jesse and Patsy were married in 1825 in Indiana, she was born
in 1790, he in 1780. This all comes from old newspaper
clippings, my grandmother's notes on the back of photographs
etc... so not very substantiated, but hopefully helpful."
The information posted on the GenConnect Board is partly
similar to the data I have accumulated, but the marriage data
is *off* by a couple of decades ... Does any of this ring a
bell for anyone?
