Hi,
This is my first posting and I am going to give you as much info. about my
Cains that I have.
Grandmother - Mary CAIN - married in 1893 to David Joseph BROGANER(former
spelling is BOGGIANO) my grandfater, St. Anthony de Padua Church in NYC
(Village area)
Mary was born 1872 - can not find a birth record and died in 1912 and have
not been able to date to find a death cert. although she is buried in Calvary
Cemetery, Queens, NY.
Mary's address at time of marriage - was Varick St., NYC
Father - John CAIN (Caine - on marriage cert.) age at marriage in 1867 was
26, address - 94 Henry Street, occ. seaman, place of birth - Londondery,
father - John Caine, mother - May McKinny, second marriage,
Mother - Ann CONNEL, age at marriage in 1867 was 22, address - 174 Madison
St. NYC, place of birth - Limerick, father - Richard CONNEL, mother - May
KASY (that doesn't seem right but that is what is on the cert.) also Ann
could not write because where the signature is - is her mark X.
withnesses - Stephen Mills and Margaret Rop or Nop
Mary had a sister Matilda who was born 1867 and married a Henry CALLAGHAN who
was a Sailor in 1888 at that time Matilda's address was W. Houston St.
That is all the info. that I have on my Cains. I would love to find some
connections.
Cannot find them on any ship's list that I have searched.
Hope to hear from someone, Susan
