Cyrus Cornelius Cain was the oldest son of Mary Etta Sinnett and Francis B. Cain. Mary
and Frank were married April 27, 1879 in Moniteau Co., MO. She the daughter of Henry R.
Sinnett and Jane Hoover. He the son of Cornelius G. Cain and Rebecca Smith (both were
from Ritchie County West Virginia). Have learned but yet to confirm that Frank and Mary
Etta are buried in Union Valley Cemetery, Bent County Colorado. Supposedly Frank died 27
Sep 1923 and Mary Etta died 30 Jan 1923.

Mrs. Rosa Etta McKay
Dies in Rest Home
Mrs. Rosa Etta McKay, a native of the Penalosa community, died in the Miller Rest Home
in Kingman, Sunday, August 27, at the age of 68. She was born November 25, 1893, the
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Cain, and spent most of her life in the
Penalosa community. She was married to Ray [sic] McKay in Kingman in 1911.
Mrs. McKay was a member of the Methodist church.
Funeral services will be held in the Livingston chapel, Wednesday, August 30, at 10
a.m. Rev. Ralph Jones will officiate. Burial will be in the Lerado cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Willard McKay, of Cottage Grove, Oregon; two brothers:
Frank Cain of Penalosa and Harry Cain of Turon.
