I wonder about these seven brothers. You mention a website about this.
Where is this site? I would like to take a look. I have run into a Hardy
Cain both in Guilford Co., NC, prior to 1790 and after that in Greene and
Warren Co., OH. The Cain names that I am researching are Daniel-Guilford
Co., NC, Jerediah-Guilford Co., NC, both in the 1790 census and later in
Greene Co., OH. Abner in Greene Co., OH and in the 1820 and 1830 census.
Does anyone know these men? Thanks, Dianne Cain Black

John
I have read Mildred's book over and over again. In fact I think we have
discussed this via email. Anyway, I have heard from someone who says his
father saw a bible that listed the names of the 7 brothers Cain.
Unfortunately it was destroyed in a fire. I have not given up trying to find
any record of these brothers. The fact that our families lived in close
proximity for as you said over 150 years makes me think there is a
connection. Look at all the same families our branches married into? Almost
all I have on Hardy Cain and Mary Foreman's descendants comes from Mildred's
work. I continue to try to find new info. I should add that not all I have
comes from Mildred. Your website has given me so much.
Thank you for all your good research. John I have been trying to find
some
of the old newspapers Mildred refers to. For instance the Pineywoods
Planter. Can you advise me?
Mary
