I know this is an old thread-hope this reaches you. My Cain
ancestors are also to have settled in Mississippi-specifically in
New Caledonia. My grandfather has long since passed and the family
has very little information about heritage so my inquiries are
mostly general in nature and born from pure speculation. However it
is good to see your post and gives me hope that I may yet find a key
that unlocks information about our history. My grandfather was
Goldie O. Cain. He was born around 1900 or maybe just before. He
married Edna Knight. Is New Caledonia in the same region as your
family?
