I am decended from an Abel Cain, born about 1844 who had two wives I
don't have the first ones name, but they had these seven children Bill
Cain, Pete Cain, Frank Cain, Ida Cain, Dick Cain, Louis Cain, Pearl Cain.
His second wife was Eliza Jane Mooney they had one child my grandmother
Rachel Lola Cain. I not sure of where Abel was born, but my grandmother
said they moved from Lumpkin County Ga to Jackson County when she was
young. Culd this be the same Abel in your tree?

Thomas Cain born in Ga abt. 1792. Served as a private in the Ga Volunteers
in the war with the Creek Nation from Aug 1813 until March 1814. Honorably
discharged at milledgeville, Ga. In Oct 1814 , enlisted as a private in
the War of 1812 as a substitute for John Bowman at Red Hollow, Franklin
co., Ga. Married Sarah " Sallie" Nix ( Nicks ) in franklin co., Ga on 31
Dec, 1815. There is more if you don't have the information. Darlene at the
time she wrote me the letter said that Thomas Cain was the brother of Abel
( she and I descend from this one) as was a William and Ransom.
I hope this might help someone. I have someinformation on the Cains but
