Yes, I am out of Jonathan Cain and Barbara Harold (sp. from records I
accessed). I am out of Abijah and Martha Cain. I have their children as:
1) Celia (abt 1757), 2) John (22 June 1760) and served in the Revolution (see
record in National Archives) m. Margaret Pearson, settled in Wayne Co, IN.
HadRobert, Joseph, Barbara and Rebecca. Second wife, Susanna Hensley (abt
1775) 9 children with her ( please correct my records if this is incorrect),
3) Abner (abt 1764) m. to a Sarah, Revolution, pd. by SC 15 lbs. Sterling and
interest of 1 lb. 1 shilling (see Stub Entries to Indents, issued in payment
to claims against SC, Growing out of the Revolution, Vol. Y-Z, p. 285, #283.
4) Amelia (abt. 1764) m. Mahlon Pearson (from a deed in which John Pearson
conveyed 125 A. in Union Co. SC to them--Union Co. SC records), 5) Elvira
(1767) m. John Townsend in 1782 in SC then moved to Wayne Co. IN. 6) *Abijah
(1769 and m. an Elvira in SC. They moved to Warren Co. OH, (as did Abner) and
then moved to Fountain Co. IN (land records in Fountain Co.)--This is my
ancestor. 7) Barbery(1771) m. John Pearson. She d. in Marion Co. IN in
1857, age 86. 8) Harold whom I have no other record, 9) Hardy in SC (?) and
m. Lettie. Later they moved to Warren Co. OH and died in Fountain Co. IN
where he was a Methodist minister. 10) Rebecca (April 17, 1779 in SC) m. 2
Nov. 1797 Rev. Jacob Pearson of SC. She d. 7 Oct. 1833. 11) Delilah (?) m. a
Pearson in SC, 12) Sarah ,the last child, m John Burgess in SC and they
migrated to Richmond, Wayne Co. Ind where they lived and died.
I received this information all from a microfilm at the LDS Library which I
accessed through a branch in Independence, MO. There is more which I would
be glad to send you. I believe the microfilm at LDS was the records of
William E. Osborn. He states in his records that his sources were Martha
Cain Atkinson, Economy IN; Rev. Haarry Martindale of Oxford, IN; Martha Lulu
Pearch Hensley of Indianapolis, IN. He wrote this on 22 Aug. 1931.
