Is there anyone researching Cains who came from Ireland during the
famine years and ended up in Canada or the USA?
Here's what we have:
Simon Cain, born Ireland August 1799
emigrated to Canada ca 1850
Married to Bridget (?)
Travelled with his son, John (and a guess, several other
children)
Simon lived with his son, John in Palms Mi, and Simon died Palms
1897.
John m Bridget Mullett
Bought land in Palms (Huron County) Michigan ca 1880
Children born (to John Cain and Bridget Mullett)
in Canada at least 10, the
youngest Frank, born in
Seaforth, Ontario, died Chicago ca 1950.
Born in Michigan: Michael, William and Joseph. the last two
twins.
Michael moved to Detroit area
Joseph moved to Detroit area, three children: including Fr. Tom
Cain
William moved to Bay City, Michigan, and Chicago and finally settled
in Owosso, MI. m Margaret Conmey, Bay City, 1900. children were:
Edward b. Bay City 1901
Genevieve b. Bay City ca 1903
Rosalee b. Chicago ca 1905
John b. Chicago 1908
Norman b. Chicago ca 1910
Winifred b. Chicago ca 1912
Maureen b Chicago ca 1914
