Lee Ola Cain
Funeral service for Mrs. Lee Ola Cain, 95, of Nacogdoches, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m.
Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Robbins and the Rev.
Jerry Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Cain passed away
Thursday, June 10, 2010, at home. She was born March 22, 1915, in Milam, Texas, to Sam and
Viola Wilson. Mrs. Cain was a homemaker for most of her life but enjoyed her years working
at The Candy House. She also enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, crocheting and reading
the Bible. She was a longtime member of New Hope Methodist Church. Mrs. Cain is survived
by her sons; Sam Cain and his wife, Mary, Jerry Cain and his wife, Dolores, Robert Cain
and his wife, Jann, Rayford Cain and his wife, Linda, and Jack Cain; her daughters, Becky
Crooms and her husband, Kervin, and Vi Alexander. She is also survived by 11
grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; as well as
nieces, nephews, othe!
r relatives, and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her husband, Evan E. Cain; three brothers, Jim Wilson, Charlie Wilson and Briley Wilson;
three sisters, Mattie Tuttle, Betty Walden and Rossie Hammock; and dear friends, Virginia
Davis and Ola Warwick. Pallbearers will be her sons, Sam, Jerry, Robert, Rayford and Jack;
and her grandson, Jeff Crooms. Honorary pallbearers will be her son-in-law, Kervin Crooms
and her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name
for Hospice of East Texas. We would like to thank all the staff at Hospice of East Texas
and devoted caregivers, Delia Saenz, Diana Hatthorn, Becky Vance and Pam Guanare for their
help and support. Visitation with the family will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday,
