Hi All;
{{{{ From bob.kane(a)welcom.gen.nz
To jecain(a)worldnet.att.net CAIN-L listowner
JOHN: please also post this on the other list as per your
suggestion. }}}}
I want to see if I can get round blockage in my gene. research:
I am unable to get past Daniel CAIN (KANE) born (c) 1828 in
Billy, Bushmills, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland.
My (forlorn) hope is that he might have had siblings who went to the
USA or Canada who left lots of gene. information. Or that some of
his descendants who disapeared into Canada left such info.
Does anyone have anything remotely like a connection?
The spelling of the surname did not settle down until this century,
I have seen CAIN, KAIN, & KANE and there could well have been others.
For international interest, I suggest that those who have detailed
information on the pre-USA origin of their ancestors should post it as
part of their query. That is, instead of, for example (xxxxxx came from
Ireland) say (xxxxxx came from Ballycraigmaddy, Co. Kerry, Ireland).
[Don't look on the map - Ballycraigmaddy is imaginary.]
Thanks
BOB
