Are yousure of the location? Ballaugh is a village and parish in the north of the Isle of
Man and Malew is a parish in the south. It is possible that there might be a farm called
Ballaugh in the south but unlikely. I shall check.
('Ballaugh' is an anglicisation of the Gaelic meaning 'the farm by the
lake' which is highly appropriate for the northern village from which the parish name
is derived, but quite unsuitable for Malew (named after an ancient Gaelic saint from the
5th century, called St Lupus)
