Yes, Emma Louisa Cain Hagens was my grandmother Bertha Stephens Corob's grandmother.
I have copy of her obituary from the original newpaper article from 1918. her husband
James Hagens was a civil war veteran and was murdered in 1921 - three years after she
died. I have copies of the original inquiry and newspaper articles on his murder
investigation. My grandmother told us the story of how his head was split down the middle
and how he was robbed in his cabin. I've verifed those stories in newspaper articles.
My aunt interview my grandmother bertha in around 1984, and we have that on cd. I
transcribed that interview. My aunt asked some key questions, missed some others that
would have been greatly beneficial. She definitely told us that her grandmother was an
indian and lived on a reservation, so we are trying to figure out how that ties in. my
address is active, because i forward stuff to it all the time. perhaps you have the first
letter wrong. I'll capitalize it!
for you. LCAUTHOR(a)HOTMAIL.COM
