CAIN WINSTON-SALEM - Margaret "Frances" Shouse Cain, 88, of Winston-Salem passed
away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Cain was born
December 21, 1920 in Forsyth County to the late Jesse J. Shouse, Sr. and Della Lee Bowman
Shouse. She was a faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church as long as her health
permitted. Frances loved to take care of children and tend to her garden. She was preceded
in death by her parents, her husband, Paul G. Cain, a brother; Jesse J. "Buddy"
Shouse, Jr. and a sister; Katrina "Trilla" Lane Jordan. Surviving to cherish her
memory, are 2 daughters; Rosalie C. Truitt (Pete) of Winston-Salem, Bonnie C. Henrich
(Harry) of Lexington, NC, a son; Glenn Ray Cain of the home; 6 grandchildren; Jerry Truitt
(Charlene), Paul Truitt, Connie Wray (Eddie), Donna J. Truitt, Angela J. Hilton of W. Palm
Beach, Fl., Larry Cain Ball; 4 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, 3
sisters; Mary Tuttle, Annie Bostian, of W!
inston-Salem, Dorothy Hutchens (Don) of Georgia and a sister in law; Ina Shouse of
Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 24,
2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A Graveside Service will follow at 12:00 p.m.,
at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Walkertown, NC. Memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds
Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to express
their appreciation to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and Forsyth Medical Center for the
care given to our loving Mother.
