Subject: James Cain, black African
>I am looking for the parents of James CAIN,
James was black as was his parentst . They were Africans in Nationality.
(according to our 1901 census)
How do you people figure it out?? I have begun to wonder if there is a
White CAIN list and a Black CAIN list ????
I hope not...
In any event, you might be on the track of the famous Joe Cain who danced
on a casket
in Mobile and restarted Mardi Gras there. I heard that he was of negro
anscestry. One of the days just before the end of whatever season is it that
religious people celebrate with much partying (Fasching in Germany or
Mardi Gras in other places) is designated as "Joe Cain" day in Mobile,
Alabama.
Maybe you should visit whenever that is and do some local genealogical
research whilst imbibing.
