The following information was taken from Patricks Rev. War Records:
Patrick Cain of Livingston Co., KY who was a Private in the Co. commanded by
Capt. Anderson of the Regt. Commanded by Col. Williamson in the SC Militia for
1 year and 7 months. --#13, 671.
3 dollars 33 cents - Mar. 4, 1834 - Certificate of Pension - May 31, 1833 -
Princeton, KY
Revolutionary Claim - Act June 7, 1832 - Book E Vol 7 - page 5.
1776 July - 3 months - Volunteered District of 96.
Rocky River in Abbeville Dist - same state - lived there for 8 months.
Private in Militia against the Cherokee Indians for 2 months - Later part of
1777.
Defended a Fort on the Savannah River - Latter part of 1779 or early part
1780.
Guard some tories at a blockhouse on the plantation of General Pickens for 2
months - early 1780.
Latter part of 1780 - called to range the country to suppress the tories -
continued until May 1781. Joined General Greene - Served 7 months.
Called Nov. 1781 - 3 months - against the Cherokee Indians.
When I first entered the service, I lived in the District of Ninety Six, state
of South Carolina and the rest of the time in Abbeville District for 19 years.
I then moved to Jackson City (Jackson County??), GA where I lived about 10
years. I then moved to TN where I lived 1 year. The balance of the time I
have lived in this County.
