Looking for my husband's ancestors starting with John J. Cain married to Eliza Brand.
He was born 1801 possibly in Virginia. He and Eliza lived in the Huston/Buena Vista area
of Mississippi around the 1860's. We are having trouble linking to any of the Cains
from Virginia and would appreciate any help.

Hi Cheryl, my gg grandfather was Thomas J. Cain, born somewhere in Virginia in 1813. It
has been said that several Cain brothers split up and went to different states. What are
the family names? Thomas had a son named John. The Cain's are notorious for reusing
family names. I too have been having a hard time finding the Virginia connection.
My Thomas was born in Virginia, migrated to Georgia where he married in 1833, moved to
Florida a couple years later then in the mid to late 70's went to Texas.
Looking forward to hearing from you, My email address is
