Message Board Post:
Any researchers here who have CAIN connection in Fayette County, Pennsylvania?
In the 1820 census, there were two CAIN families in Wharton Township listed.
Humphrey CAIN listed as over 45 (alone, possibly an elder and father of Francis?)
Francis CAIN listed as over 45 and has children
Couldn't find a Humphrey CAIN prior to 1820 and guess that there is more than likely
another name he went by. Anyone have any ideas as to what a Humphrey may have used as a
nickname? Maybe Hugh?
I am curious to find out as to where the two belong (which CAIN family) as well as to
where they went in 1830. I believe that they possibly fit somewhere with the other
CAIN's in the surrounding areas..just need to figure out where.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
