Further to Jamco's email I also know of a William Caine descendant who went that extra step and took a DNA test. The results might surprise some who were looking for Manx origins. but at least we now have a clue to where the family came from before William settled in Baltimore.

I do not know if I can help you or not but my Great Grandmother was Lilly M. Kain Kaltenbach. She was married to George Washington Kaltenbach. They are buried in Wichita Park Cemetery in Wichita, KS. They had three children one of which was my Grandfather who was born in Yates Center, Kansas. I do have some photos posted of George and Lilly on my Kaltenbach Family Tree. I do know for sure what the proper spelling is of Lilly's maiden name. Someone gave me the spelling of Kain. Let me know if I can help you with any further questions. I don't know tons of information but I will tell you all I know. Thanks.
Dee
