My research so far not led me to any Cain in NY, which of course does not mean that it won't. I will begin to look at the list of offspring and see if any of them have those names and direction. I have found the Cain line difficult to research and have found some info that does not match the written records that I have. Will keep looking.

I believe my family line comes from Daniel Cain/Catherine Mann, but I haven't been able to verify that. My father's name was Frederick Reggs Cain (was supposed to be Riggs but was misspelled on his birth cert), his father was Guy Herbert Cain, his father Miles Riggs Cain. Would like more info on this Daniel Cain line. You can email me direct at ladyteelynch(a)aol.com. Thanks, Terri

It has been many years since my genealogy days, but now I am trying to retrace what I have done. I must have taken a wrong turn between Lewis and John Bingamon (am). What I have for certain on Lewis 1812 soldier of war (Greene Sugarcreek OH), 1835 Greene OH tax list, and census from 1820-1870 (Greene co OH), 1855 Greene co OH map with L Bingamon and Allen Bingemon names of it. In the Greene co library, I discoverd a Jocob Coy family tree with Ginn and Lewis Bingamon and Daniel Cain names. The rest of my info is uncertain. What is cannot find prove of who Lewis's father was? Also I found a Lewis that was captured by Indians which he spent rest of life with them; no prove yet and which Lewis was he? I have a John Bingamon with a wife of Hester Farrington who died abt 1821 in OH, b?, m first wife Mary? But again I cannot prove if this John is Lewis's father. If so where did he come from? Also I find many Bingaman's from Augusta co Virginia, but again, cannot connect t!
hem. I do not know if this is any help, but do keep contact. Just email me oakhill(a)woh.rr.com. Do put a Bingamon as title so I will not accidently delete. Thank you Mary Bingamon
