I'm looking for the parents of Quinton (Quinten Quenton) N Cain b. abt 1801-1803 in North Carolina and Mary Polly Boles b. abt 1810 Pennsylvania. They married on Feb. 25, 1830 in Monroe Co. Indiana.
They has 6 children

William H. b abt 1831
Thomas b. abt 1833
Geniva b. abt 1839
Augustus b. abt 1842

All children were born in Indiana
The 1830 census in Lawrence Co. IN lists Quinton with
one male under 5 = Harrison
one male 20-30 = himself
one female 20-30 = Mary Polly
and another female 50-60. His or Her Mother?
Quinton died possibly about 1862 and Mary Polly about 1859 according to LDS.
Any information about Quinton or Mary Polly would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Barb

Sorry Ron but the Scots went about changing a lot of Irish names, my folks from Ireland appeared as Keanes but it did not take long for them to be recorded in later Scots records as Cain. Kind Regards, Paddy Duggan

Sometimes you can find some valuable family history in the allied (related by marriage) family genealogy books.
Found this neat store that sells old family history/genealogy books, might be worth a look to anyone doing genealogy. Sure has helped me!
Never know, you might just find your ancestors in them.

Try searching for all of your surnames!

Yes, my Cain family is from Kentucky, Henry, Trimble, Carroll counties to be exact. My dad was Elmer Cain b. Feb. 24, 1925, d. Feb. 18, 1984. His dad was Charley Cain b. Oct. 13, 1875, d. Feb.25, 1951. His dad was George Washington Weddles Cain b. 1838, d. Aug. 30, 1917. His dad was Guideon Cain, no dates on him, but his wife is listed as Amelia(?) Camada, ( signature on Georges death certificate is hard to read) that is as close as I can get for her. You can e-mail me at Cafryman(a)gmail.com. I hope this helps.
