B. G.: I too am looking for info on Luda Maud Cain, who married A. Robert Cornelius on 11-28-1892. I thought Luda's parents were William J. Cain, who married Eveline Elliott. Do these names mean anything to you? Thanks, Lurene

Angie, your William Cain's date seems right for the one I am looking for. Is it possible there was Native American blood (maybe Choctaw). Other names I have as first names for Cains are Abbott, Euline. I am especially looking for Luda Maud Cain (Elliott) who was my deceased husband's great grandmother. Any likeness here appreciated. Hello Cain List;
I am a new subscriber to the Cain List, although I have, at times, browsed
through the old archives. My connection is through my mother who's maiden
name was Cain. My basic genealogy is as follows:
Marilou Cain (mother) b. 16 Oct 1927 in OK, d. 6 Jul 1999 - dau Of
William Ryan Cain, b. 30 Dec 1872 in KY, d. 21 Dec 1947 - son of
William Jackson Cain, b. 18 Feb 1835 in KY, d. 10 Dec 1905 - son of
Anderson Hutchins Cain, b. 20 Jun 1808 in NC, d. 17 Nov 1876 - son of
Daniel Cain, b. 8 Dec 1768 in DE, d. 29 May 1859 - son of
Thomas Cain, b. abt. 1724, d. abt. 1799 - son of
Thomas Daniel Cain
Most of my information came from Mary Louise Cain Eaton, who was an
accomplished amateur genealogist and my mother's step-sister. What I am
trying to do now, besides expanding my tree and knowledge of the individuals
in it, is gather copies of the sources. Any assistance, knowledge or just a
need to chat about common ancestors will be welcome. I will share
information with all who contact me.
Thank You;
Fred Stewart

Del, I think my GGGrandfather is Jacob, too, through John F. Cain, Jacob and Jane's third child. I only came to this conclusion last night based upon the 1850, 1860 and 1870 Census'. Birthdates and places of residence from from Ohio, Indiana, Kansas and then California seem to make a strong case for this conclusion. I would like to explore this further. Please contact me.
