Hi Catherine,
My maiden name is Cain. I am trying to do my dad's side of the family. There are so many road blocks. I was just wondering if we are branches of the same tree.
1. My dad was Elmer Lee Cain Sr. b. 2-24-24 d. 2-18-84.
2. His dad was Charley/Charlie b. 1875 d. 1951. His dad was George. That is all I have.
If you can help e-mail me at CAfryman(a)comcast.net.
Thanks for your time.

Subject: [STATE-COORD] EC - Call for Volunteers
To: STATE-COORD-L(a)rootsweb.com
To all Project members:
Please forward this note to all USGenWeb Members and lists.
The USGenWeb Election Committee is looking for three volunteers who would like to serve on the
Election Committee.
The "job" includes developing a working relationship with Project members, SCs, and/or Archives
personnel to maintain current Project Membership and Registration Lists, and to assist in all polls
and elections, especially during the months of June and July when the EC hosts the USGenWeb
Project's Annual Election.
Volunteers will have the satisfaction of joining an excellent team to handle a difficult and
important responsibility.
The following one year replacement regional seats are currently open:
NOTE: You do *not* have to be a member in either of these regions to be eligible to serve in these
regions.
Northeast North Central Region
Term: Jan 1, 2004 - Dec 31, 2004
SouthWest/South Central Region
Term: Jan 1, 2004 - Dec 31, 2004
The following two-year Archives seat is currently available:
NOTE: You must be a member of one of the Archives Projects, but not necessarily the projects listed
below.
State Archives: Northwest Plains & North East North Central Regions; Plus OK, KS, & TX; Tombstone
Project.
Term: Jan 1, 2004 - 31 December 2005
Any member of the USGW Project who is eligible to vote is eligible for membership in the EC, the
exception being that no Advisory Board member may serve as a working member of the EC. An EC member
who is elected to national office may continue to serve on the EC until seated on the AB.
EC Members are asked to check mail daily, and must be responsive to Email.
If you are interested in volunteering, please send a
note to:
<e.j.pack(a)natchezbelle.org>
with the subject line, "Volunteer EC".
Please include a brief description of your current USGW participation, including URLs of any sites
you maintain.
Selected volunteers will be included on a slate that is presented to the Advisory Board for
confirmation.
More information about the EC is available at:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgwelections/
Thank you for your time, and please consider volunteering!

Hello
As We in the USA celebrate Veterans Day I would like to say just a
few words to all our veterans and fallen heroes on the Battlefields
across the World. Thank you for all you do and have done for this
country and for others. I have ancestors that served both Great Britain
and the United States and I am very proud of my heritage. Here is a
list of my ancestors that served.

Re Cains . The exact spelling of Cains did not appear to be prevalent in Scotland. That is my maiden name and I have accounted for the majority of them who all seem to have been related to me. I would be most interested in any CAINS who emigrated to North America from Scotland.. I go back in my family tree to the1841 census and my great-grandfather is recorded on it , in investigating his marriage I can find no trace of his parents who are named on the certificate, I do not know if he had any brothers or sisters. The Cains name(exact spelling) seems to be mainly English with a few in the Isle of Man.
