Does anyone have a picture of Minnie Cain? My family are Cain's and recently came across a photo album that was my grandmothers. There was a picture in there with the name Memmie or Minnie written across it. Would sure like to identify the picture and maybe rule one or the other.
Robert Cain and Jane Burnett are my gggg grandparents. I would greatly appreciate any information regarding Jane's birth date and location. I understand Jane's father was James John Burnett, born 1741 in Virginia and her mother was Marry Morrison, born about 1750 in Ireland. Can anyone confirm and/or add to this information?
The first name, Ed, does not ring any bells but the are, Winchester, VA, does. I find Lewis Millard CAIN marrying in Winchester, VA; dying in Baltimore. Perhaps we need to team up and see what we can find. I have tried before and have come up empty handed but am willing to try again.

Hi Jennifer:
I am also searching for the Cain family in Alabama. I am looking for Roy E. Cain Died 7/25/1958. I will see what I can dig up for you.

Hi Allen,
By the sound of it probably not the same James M. Cain. If mine were 51 in 1910, he would have been born in 1859.
Thanks anyway. Will keep digging.
Glenda
Glenda,
I have a James M. Cain but I question if it is the same as yours. I have limited info, virtually none, other than that his great-grreat-grandfather, Algernon Benjamin Cain, was born in 1860. I do not think that these dates work if your James M. Cain was 51- 57 in 1910.
Let me know if there is a possibility.

I've just discovered that my ggrandfather William Cain sailed for the US in 1884 with two of his sons who were aged about 13 and 15 at the time (Richard & Bernard?)
I know what happened to Bernard (died Salt Lake City), but have no idea what happened to William himself or the other son.
I don't have much info at all and absolutely no clue as to who parents of Mary Cain were she was 2nd wife of Joh n Marsh and these are names of her children would be interested to see if we can work out a connection. I am fairly certain she had a brother who was a farmer or who lived in the country in Herkimer Co Ny.
I'll be gone fromjuly 20 thru august 15. you can email me directly at Faunawoodlandqueen(a)mailcity.com

I'm looking for help finding the father of Elijah Cain born in Virginia in 1828. His mother was Mabel Timartha(Timothea) Cain, the widow of Alexander Cain. He was bound over in 1840 and the record lists him as the baseborn son of Timothea and his name as Elijah Cain, alias Gibson. Mabel also had two more sons in the 1840's, John F. and Charles H.(my great-grandfather). Any help on their father, also? We are talking about Shenandoah County for Elijah and Warren for the younger two. Thanks.
I'm trying to find information regarding Lucinda Cain born 12 Dec. 1830 Kentucky. She married John Hall 16 Aug 1855 Greenup County, Kentucky. This could have been a second marriage. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
