Hi - I am looking for any information you may have come across for the following:
Harvey Edward Cain b. 7/1/1886 d. 6/20/1945 married Ada McKim b. 4/18/1885 d. 10/15/1974
I have everything I need after these two but not much before. Harvey Edward's parents were John
Cain from Ohio or Grant City MI and Lydia Poteet. Their other children were Hattie, Jim, Etta,
Wes, Jessie and Lester.
Anything you may have is greatly appreciated.
Thank You

Aaron Peter Cain/Tobin
my family is descended from a family who immigrated from Ireland,
apparently
during the Irish rebellion, to Prince Edward's Island, Canada. I know
that
many of my Great Grandparents relatives stayed in PEI and I would be
interested in hearing from anyone there who can connect me with
relatives of
Aaron Peter and Bridget Lovina Tobin Cain. I also know that some of our
relatives moved across Canada and then down into the US. My grandfather
William Cain moved to Maine after marrying my Grandmother.
My immediate family has an open invitation family reunion in Maine on
the
first weekend in August so let us know. Only rule: if your name is Cain
(or
a derivative thereof) or if you are descended from ro related to some
one
whose name is or was Cain (or a derivative thereof) you are family and
will
be welcomed . Please bring ALL data which you have concerning your
ancestors
with copies if possible.
Online I have met a man in Ontario whose great grandfather was a
brother to
Aaron Peter Cain.
Hoping to hear from many family members

Don't think this was my Peter, unless he were one of the brothers of Joseph
Andrew that came to the US from Dublin in 1779. His son Peter would have been
too young at that time. billie

I am a Cain by birth. My grandfather dtold us that the Cain that came to the
US was is 1779 & he sailed from Dublin to Brooklyn, NY to meet hios childhood
sweetheart & brought 3 of his brothers with him. His name was Joseph Andrew,
son of Thomas Able Cain & Ellen. His sweetheart was Catherine Dickey. Then
settled in or near Louisville Ky. She was the dau of Patrick Dickey. There is
a story that comes with all descendants about a Cain killing a man or almost
so in Ky, & the whole clan packing their wagons over night & leaving for Ar
to avoid a family fued. The next time I find them is in NW AR, Madison Co
where my John William , son of Joseph, was the only heir to James Madison,
who may have been a son of a James Albert & Mary Dickey. But between the
families I have found, we have put together all the descendants of John. Oh,
he also said that the children of Joseph 7 Catherine were John Wm aven,
James Peter, Thomas Hiram, Joseph Andrew, & 3 dau. Do you have any of these
names? Thanks, Billie

Peter Cain,Jr. of Sussex Co, VA, married Scota Steward Mitchell in late
1700's. Her mother and father were William and Mary Shands Steward. Do
you have information on this Peter Cain family. I understand Peter and
Scota built a home which is still standing in Sussex Co, VA. Peggy
