Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

I'M HERE!!!
I'm looking for info on a John Cain b. abt 1815 in NC. He married Celia
Suggs b. abt 1816 in NC. They may have both been born in Bladen Co. Not
sure though.
Any info on either of these people would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Ricky,
Yes, I am on this list but have not posted recently because I thought
perhaps everyone would get tired of seeing my post too often....however,
since you asked *G*.....I am looking for descendants of Jack Cain/Kane
who was married to Dora Stampf - no dates available but probably married
around 1915-1917 in Brooklyn, NY. They had a son J.J. Cain/Kane Jr. who
had daughters Jillian and Dayna. Don't know his wife.
Also, possibly Brooklyn or Maspath NY area for Francis Michael Cain/Kane
(this one I really think is Kane) who married AnneMarie Beckwith on 7
Jul 1940...I believe they are all the same family but not sure. Mention
of Francis' mother on his wedding invitation as Mrs. M. Kane.
Would love to hear from anyone with information on these folks!
And Hope you have a Happy Holiday Ricky....didn't mean to leave anyone
feeling deserted on this list...
Joanie

Lots of folks here. If they want to talk to you, they will. If they have
answers to your questions, they will provide them. Do not worry, what you
send to the List is being seen by many.
Hi, I have recently been corresponding with a first rate Skelton researcher and I think the parents of Esther Skelton were Martha Clark and William Skelton of Pendleton, and then Anderson Co. SC. Esther married James J/. Cain in Anderson Co, SC in 1829. My line is given in full on the Cain page of John Cain, the listowner. James J. and Esther were my great-great grandparents.

The mailing list archives may now be searched. I am passing on a
message from Karen Isaacson at Rootsweb. I have tried them out and they
seem to work OK but please be patient, some bugs will surely have to be
worked out. (and I have waited 24hrs as Karen requested).

Hi, I have not received mail all day today, and since I sent out some new
querys within the last couple of days, I was wondering if anyone had tried
contacting me and I'm just not getting it. Don't know if it's just me not
getting my mail, or if AOL is having problems again and no one is getting
mail. I have not received anything from the several rootswebs that I have
subscribed to. If anyone has tried contacting me in regards to my querys,
please try again. A few things are starting to come through. If anyone trys
contacting me and I don't get back to them within 24 hours, then I'm still not
getting my mail.
Thanks. EllenCC(a)aol.com
