Forwarded by request of the original poster, who adds, "Hi Valorie,
By all means, let's get this out to someone who might be able to make
sense of it! I would be interested if anyone recognizes anything. The
Robert Arthur will may be that of a mysterious ancestor of mine. You
can include my name and email in your post if you like and ask anyone
who might spot something to contact me directly. Also, you might want
to include the abstract immediately followin Robert's will. Its
another
Little Creek HD. will and some of the names in it might be
identifiable
by anyone who recognizes Thomas and Hannah Cahoon."

Hi All,
Here are some more transcriptions of info I found on my trip to
Seattle
Last month. Let me know if you spot anything significant.
From a book entitled, "Boon Genealogy, Part II Draft,"
compiled by
Robert Farnham Thompson, Assisted by Arthur Benton Jones, self
published, 1984. This book is in the Seattle Public Library.
"John Boon was taxed at Gunpowder after 1704." SOURCE: Virginia
Magazine of History and Biography, Vol. 25, p. 93. This appears on p.
280 of the 1984 book.
"John Boon owned land adjoining another, 1/28/1769." SOURCE:
Chronicles
of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia, 1745 - 1800," by Lyman
Chalkley, Vol. III, p. 491. This appears on p. 317 of the book. SPL.
Also have notes about a book "Boon Family," by Rupert Thompson, SPL
R929.2, B6445T. And a note about another SPL book. I think the title
is
"Boon Family, Kent County, Delaware. R929.3751. Both were out when I
was there. The latter, particularly, must be looked at the next time
I'm there.
-------------
From "Calendar of Kent County, Delaware Probate Records: 1680 -
1800,"
Leon de Valinger, Jr., Public Archives Commission State of Delaware,
Dover, 1944. This book is at the Seattle Genealogical Society.
"Arthur, Robert. Will. Made Dec. 8, 1763. Little Creek Hd. Heirs: wife
Hannah; daus. Margaret Smith, Ann Arthur; grandson Robert Smith; son
William. Exec'x, wife Hannah. Wits, James Edwards, John Johnson, John
Lewis. Prob. Dec 31, 1763. Arch. vol. A2, pages 1-3. Reg. of Wills,
Liber K folios 331-332. Note:--Arch. vol A2, page 2 shows Hannah, the
widow, later married Thomas Cahoon." P. 211.
"Rutter, John. Will (nunc.). Made Oct. 3, 1748. Little Creek Hd.
Heirs:
wife Jane; son John, Exec'r Francis Keith (landlord). Wits., Robert
ARTHURS, Patrick Coyle. Prob. Oct. 31, 1748. Arch. vol. A44, pages
210-211. Reg. of Wills, Liber I, folios 244-245." p. 129.
This first abstract is, I believe, that of the 1763 will reference I
sent about a week ago.
I don't know if this is Robert, uncle of Robert who m. Susan Boone, or
not. It would be a 20 year contradiction of what IAD said was Robert's
date of death. We've got Robert, Sr. d. ca. 1744. Perhaps a DE Robert,
son of our Robert, cousin of our PA Robert?
-------------
Will send more as I get caught up on things.

Regards,
Larry
