James may have come through Westmoreland Co, Pa. It would seem to be
on his way to Southwestern Ohio from the Philly area, but I have no
record of it.
When I was in PA a few years ago, we went to Fort Necessity on Old
Route 40, (maybe Fayette County?). While there, we checked the list
of men who had been Washington's troops at that time (pre REV), and
there was an Edward or Edmond Cahill on the list of men. The troops
were from many areas. Could this have been your Edward?

Subject: Cahill genealogy
I saw your posting on the genforum about Edmond Cahill.
Did James Cahill by any chance come through Westmoreland County, Pa?
My Abraham Cahill was a Rev. War soldier from there and then moved
to Wayne County Ohio.
I have not been able to find very much about him. There was
supposed to be a will from an Edmond or Edward Cahill with a son
Abraham listed, but unfortunately the person who sent me that
infor forgot to put where the will was located?
There was an Edmond or Edward Cahill in Westmoreland Co. Pa before
1800.
Thanks for any help you may give me.
