Stephanie,
The world is full of Cahills. You did not mention where in the states the
rest of your family is or where in Ireland they originated.
I'm still searching for the origin of my Cahill family and there came here
prior to 1850.
Put in a little more information or try the Cahill forum on
Ancestry.com
Jack

Hello to all Cahills and Cliffords out there. My name is Stephanie, I
live in
Sacramento CA. I am the grandaughter of James Edward Clifford and
his second wife, Alma Louise Clark. I have been researching the Clifford
family history on this end for three years, I have tried to make contact
many times with the Cahill branch of the family but; no one ever responds to
my emails. Was my grandpa that horrible of a person? I was only eleven when
he died in 1964 and my mother, Mary had passed away just a few months before
he did. I have no bad memories of my grandfather and have never heard
anything bad about him. My only real memories of him are in his later years
in a nursing home. Grandpa had both of his legs amputated at the knee and
was in a wheel chair, we went to see him on Sundays, I can remember that he
used to like to sit in the garden on sunny days and sing old Irish folk
songs, sometimes he'd call me over to him and sing just for me, he liked to
call me his " little wil!
d Irish Rose". I am just a bit curious about my grandfather and
Veda
Cahill, I know that they had a daughter, Dorothy Lillian, who died at a
young and left a small child behind. I would love to hear from any of you.
Sincerely,
Stephanie
