MOM>>There's a family connection to the gold mining in Alaska - Nome, Alaska
to
be exact. I remember my mother having a long gold chain with a clear, glass
pendant about two inches in diameter. Inside the glass were small gold
nuggets or coursely ground nuggets from "an uncles" gold mines in Alaska.
We also had a den in our house in West Somerville, MA that had a small kayak
(about three feet long) mounted on the wall. It was from Alaska and made
from seal skin.
If anyone thinks this could be a connection or has any info to help me out,
please reply.
Thanks!
