Message Board Post:
I am going through the personal papers of my husband's grandmother, Agnes Tully
Stevens of Chicago. Found a very old newspaper clipping with most of an obit for Mary
Augusta Cahill of Gilpin Place in Chicago, which I've posted on my blog today, if
anyone wishes to see it. Unfortunately, the paper is fragile, and some words are missing,
as well as the date and identification of the newspaper. I believe--though it is
missing--the woman's husband's name was James. A son Walter was mentioned, as well
as unmarried children Anna E. and James E. She was buried at Calvary.
I'm not sure why this was saved in my husband's grandmother's papers. I have
no clue as to relationship, but would love to know more, if anyone from this family could
contact me.
Actual copy of obit is posted at
