Lee,
I can help you with this. I just visited the Marshall County Library
in Alabama today looking for these Cagles on the 1930 census. This Aaron
Dexter Cagle Jr. is a cousin of mine. The Cagles in Sequatchie County left
the county in 1929 for a while to go to Alabama to work on a farm to pick
cotton. My dad Avery Cagle was five years old at the time of the 1930 Alabama
census. The Cagle family with Russel Cagle as the father and his wife Lou
Cagle stayed in Alabama for about one and one half year. My ggrandfather
Russel Cagle died and is buried in Prospect Cemetery in Marshall County
Alabama. Russel cagle died May 30, 1929. The 1930 census lists a son Bill
Cagle as head of household and Lou Cagle as his mother. My grandfather Jack
Cagle is also listed in this household with his wife Lula Cagle and their
children. Avery Cagle age five is my father. The only thing that my dad said
that he remembered about being in Alabama is walking in the cotton fields and
stepping on the worms that were on the ground.
The 1930 Marshall County Alabama census lists the following:
117-115 Cagle, Bill head age 29 Single
Lou Mother 72 wd
Jack brother 26 married(age is wrong,Jack
was born in 1901

as being male,
but she is
Female and is still alive and

These are the Cagles listed in Alabama, Marshall County in 1931.
Notice that the obit for Aaron Cagle Jr. lists Osborn Cagle as a brother
when he is really his uncle. It lists Villa, Janie and Dorothy as sisters
when they are really his aunts. This I'm sure of being the fact.
