I'm back again, with my second line of CAGLEs. At least, we think they are CAGLEs.
I have absolutely no concrete proof for any of the information I have on this woman. Her
husband was Peter YOUNG, and he lived in Kentucky during the early 1800s since most of his
children were born there. There is also a Robert CAGLE who lives very near Peter in 1830
in Independence County, AR. (Peter came to AR between 1825 and 1828). When one of
Peter's grandsons, Christian RISENER, first left home, he boarded with a Walter J.
CAGLE and wife, Lavina, in Izard County, AR. Walter and Lavina are both listed in the
1860 Izard Co census as having been born in Tennessee around 1838.
Family stories say that Peter Young's wife was named Elizabeth CAGLE and that Robert
Cagle was her brother, and Walter Cagle her nephew. They also say that Elizabeth was at
least one-half Native American, but most "family stories" tend to add Native
American heritage into any line with a mystery member, don't they?
Perhaps the names of Peter Young's children might "ring a bell" with CAGLE
researchers. His son was named Christian, and his daughters were Nancy Caroline,
Elizabeth, Mary Elvira, Margaret, Charlotte and another daughter whose name we do not
know, though she married and had children.
Does anyone have a CAGLE family in Kentucky with a relationship with a family of YOUNGs?
