Cathy,
According to the 1900 census of Dade Co., MO, your g/grandfather and
g/grandmother are still living at age 64 and 61. They are shown from 1860
through 1900 in the censuses for that county. According to John G.Cagle,
James is the 14 year old son of George and Mary Cagle of Sevier Co., TN and
is in the 1850 census there.
George also is in the 1840 census and appears to have been a child of
William Cagle (Sr), William's son Henry or a (perhaps deceased) son who left
a widow, Polly, enumerated in the 1830 census. Perhaps someone with Sevier
Co., TN connections can clear this up.
In any case, this appears to be the family of William Cagle, 1754- ca 1850,
who was the son of Henry Cagle Sr who died in 1802 in Moore Co., NC. Henry
Sr. is thought to be a son of Leonhart Kegill, the emigrant who came from
Germany in 1732.

Subject: [CAGLE] James Blevins of Dade County, MO
I'm trying to get some information about my mother's family.
Her
grandfather's name was James and his wife was Matilda. He died around 1887
and was buried in Dade County, MO. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
