Thank you for your response to my posting.
Actually, I am not researching the Willsons; however, Elizabeth Ann
Willson, b. 1842, married Benjamin Alexander
Cagle, is my ancestor. And, yes I understand Benjamin is Indian from his
mother Sarah Bird. This has not been
proven as far as I know.
If I can be further help with the Cagle line, let me know.

Benjamin married Elizabeth Ann "Eliza" Wilson (41, 42, 43, 44) in Sep

almost 600 graves in this cemetery.
Uncle Elmer says that Elizabeth Ann Cagle died when Bessie was about 2
years old. Bessie was born Mar. 27, 1907.
Arvel gave directions to the cemetery as approximately 22 miles north of
Florence on Highway 20. Go
to right on County Rd B, 6/10ths mi and it is on the right. It is a small
Community Church with the cemetery in the rear.

It is interesting the last 2 census records show that Ben's father was
born in Germany. The 1920 census shows that his father spoke German.
Also, on the 1920 census, Ben is listed with the middle initial "J"
instead of the usual "A", both sound alike which probably accounts for
the error.
James Cagle is listed as the father of Benjamin Alexander Cagle, b. 15
Aug 1850; d. 25 Apr 1920 on "Ben's" Death Certificate from the State of
Tennessee, certificate #398, of Whitewell, Marion County.

I have James M. WILLSON married to Nancy LEE, and their son John Lee
Willson, b. 1844 is my great, great grandfather. Which Wilson is your
line? I have heard that they are Cherokee. How did you find that George
is from Spartanburg, SC?
I am excited to find another Wilson (ours) working on this line. Nelda
Laird is from another brother's line, and she has some good info, too. I
have not worked on this in some time.
