RAMSEY, WRETHIA IRENE, Thursday, October 7, 2004
Funeral services for Wrethia Irene RAMSEY, 84, of Sand Springs, formerly of
Sallisaw, were held on Monday at Green Hill Mausoleum in Sapulpa, with the
Rev. Earl Ruckman officiating. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery in Supulpa,
under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs. She
was born on Feb. 9, 1920, in Sallisaw, to Earl and Liddie (O'NEAL) CAGLE.
She died on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004. Mrs. RAMSEY was a graduate of Sallisaw
High School, where she had a perfect attendance record for all 12 years. She
worked as a floral designer for Sand Springs Greenhouse and Four Seasons
Gardens. She also was the coordinator for the Sand Springs Senior Citizens
Center Floral Fundraiser and helped raise the funds to purchase their first
bus. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael RAMSEY and his
wife Sharon of Sand Springs; two daughters, Zelma HINDMAN and her husband
Dick of Sapulpa and Janice WATKINS and her husband John of Sallisaw; five
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred SHELTON of
Temple, Texas and Vera BRINSFIELD of Russellville, Ark. Mrs. RAMSEY was
preceded in death by her husband, Michael RAMSEY; one grandson, Ryan RAMSEY;
two sisters, Inez RICHARDSON and Mary STANE; and two brothers, Ernest and
J.D. CAGLE.
