Gerald,
There were other KEGELS/CAGLES who migrated from Germany and remained in
Pennsylvania. At least three
migrated through the Port at Charlotte and another through New Orleans.
In fact, some still retain the name
KEGEL.
My family migrated from Georgia to Texas, then finally to Oklahoma and
now most are back in Texas. Who are
your Georgia ancestors?
Mine are Benjamin Franklin Cagle Sr., 1819, Henry Co., GA; Augustus
Cagle, b. 13 Apr 1852, Haralson Co., GA;
John Robert Cagle, b. 29 Oct 1879, Harralson Co., GA; Robert James Cagle,
b. 17 Dec 1908, Cagle's Corners,
DeKalb Co., AL; then, me Lee Cagle, b. 27 Oct 1936, Pawhuska, Osage, OK;
my son, LeRoy Andrew Cagle
Jr., b. 31 May 1956, Savannah, Oglethorpe, GA; his son, Wayne Cagle, b. 5
Apr 1978, Midland, Midland, TX, and
this little dickens hasn't married or I would be a great Grandpa.

You will never find a cagle that is not related. As far as I know,
only one
family came over. I am one of the Georgia Cagles.
