ASHEBORO Boyd Steed Bobby Cagle, 75, of 1591 Southmont Drive, Asheboro, died Thursday,
July 6, 2006, at the home of his son, 1525 Pepperidge Road.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Tim
Lowery and the Rev. Jack Ogburn officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, with
military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
He was a native of Randolph County, a retired captain and assistant chief of the Asheboro
Police Department after 40 years, a member of Balfour Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy
Korean War veteran.
Surviving are daughters, Teresa Symes Darnell of Asheboro, Janice Stamper of Locust, Abby
Cagle of Gallup, N.M.; sons, Bruce Cagle and Adam Cagle, both of Asheboro; brother, C.F.
Cagle of Asheboro; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
