Hi, David,
Thanks for the corrections re: Theobalt and "Dutchman." I, actually, think
that I have that correct in my main file in my main computer which still isn't set up
after a recent move. Just working off my laptop right now and trying to help someone
locate part of her immediate family as well as providing her with information on her
ancestry. I greatly appreciate the 'heads up' and will forward it on to her, as
well.
Bellinda

Ricky/Rodger? & David
Bellinda,
I enjoyed your post as I am also descended from David Cagle, 1728-1890/94.
However, I have a comment re the following paragraph.
"And Lydia's husband, Leonard CAGLE was the son of Lucy ?, b: 1755 in North
Carolina, and husband, Jacob CAGLE, Sr., b: April 1755 in Rowan/Guilford
Co., North Carolina, d: August 14, 1845 in Warren Co., Tennessee, son of
K/Catherine COCKMAN, b: abt. 1720 in Moore Co., NC, d: ?, and husband,
Johan(n)(e)(s) Theobald "David" (John/"Dutchman")
CAGLE/KAGLE/KEGEL(L)/etc.,
b: April 29, 1728 in Obermehlingen/Mehlingen, Germany, d: September 1780 in
Moore County, North Carolina. (aka also Dewalt)"
I think we are talking about two brothers here and the wife of a third.
David (Theobald Dewalt), 1728-1790's was married to Catherine while his
brother, John "Dutchman" Cagle was also married to a Catherine and brother
Henry Cagle was married to Caterana Sietz who was probably previously
married to a Cockman. Henry lists in his will, Caterana Cockman
"daughter-in-law" which is thought to mean "step-daughter."
Unless there is something new that I am not aware of, Jacob Cagle, 1755-1845
is thought to be the son of David Cagle, 1728-1790's. John "Dutchman" and
Henry both left wills in Moore Co., NC while the last record of David Cagle
places his death probably in Cabarrus Co., NC about 1794.
I am a descendent of David Cagle through his son Henry Cagle, Sr.
ca1760-ca1838; Henry Cagle, Jr. 1780-1857; John Cagle 1813-1879; Charles T.
Cagle 1844-1930; Lloyd H. Cagle 1880-1970; and my father who is living at
age 92.
David

Dear MYRICK list,

1916 in
Mena, Polk Co., Arkansas, son of James E. MYRICK and Ida Bell CAGLE,
d/o Nancy Elizabeth MILLS and Elijah Columbus CAGLE of Henry Co., Georgia

Still trying to locate any information on the sons of country music
singer, T.
Texas TYLER, whose real name was David Luke MYRICK, Sr.. His
sons were David, Jr. and Ricky/or poss. formal name of Ro(d)ger as stated by
one published biography. David, Sr. is now deceased and it is not known
whether his sons are living or not. They would be, approximately, 60 years
old, I think. David Luke MYRICK, Sr. was born in Mena, Polk Co., Arkansas.
More information on his family follows, immediately below. If you have any
info on the whereabouts of either David, Jr. or Ricky/?/Ro(d)ger since they
were children, please let me know. In advance, I thank you very much for
any assistance you might be able to give in this matter.
