Case # 681
William Isham Cagle was issued a summons to appear "the 2nd Monday of May next, to
answer Martha E. Calge in an action by her brought against the said William Isham Cagle
for a divorce from the bonds of matrimony." Issued in Madisonville, the second
Monday of January 1875. /s/ E.E. Griffith, Clerk
(I didn't yet copy the case but Martha charged William Isham Cagle with desertion;
stated they were married "about the 1st day of Dec 1872".)
Martha's name listed in one document as Martha Ellen Cagle.
Final Decree was on 17 September 1875
Martha's maiden name was Sutton.

said _______ on the 17th of May AD 1865 in the Co. of Monroe aforesaid maliscously did cut
