David & Richard:
"E. C. Cagle" in the 1876 census of Iron County, MO should read: "L. C.
Cagle" and this would be the
mother of the listed children: Mary, Thomas, George, Levi, William and
Moses.
George Henry Cagle, b. 30 Nov 1834 is the son of John David Cagle, b. 15 Jun
1812, who is the
son of Robert, b. 1783, son of Leonard Cagle, b. btw 1730-1739.

Richard,
This from John G. Cagle's "Cagle Census Records of the South, 1860-1910."
1876 MO State Census, Iron Co., MO
E. C. Cagle 21-45 (don't know if this is mother or father)
Mary A. 10-18 dau
Thomas A. 10-18 son
George Henry 0-10 son
Levi J. 0-10 son
William J. 0-10 son
Moses 0-10 son
1880 St. Francois MO, Perry Twp., Desloge Lead Mines
William Kegel 8 TN
Alebert L. Kegel 1 MO
Moses Kegel 6 TN
These three are listed as the step-sons of Phillip Clark. Albert and
Moses are probably the same as those shown immediately above.
1900 Census, Texas Co., MO
T. A. Cagle 30 AL
Susie 23 MO
Ponzo 6 IN
Ethel 4 IN
Nettie 6/12 MO
1900 Census St. Louis City MO
George H. Cagle 34 TN
Mary 34 MO
Daysa E. 8 IN
Eva 6 MO
Tillie 3 MO
George G. 10/12 MO
From this census record, you can see that T. A. Cagle was born in Alabama
and in 1894 through 1896 this family was living in Indiana. His brother
George was born in TN and was living in Indiana in 1892, then in Missouri
by 1894.
1910 Census, St Louis County, Town of Wellington
George Henry Cagle 44 TN
Mary 44 MO
Dassie 18 IN
Eva 16 MO
Matilda 14 MO
George 11 MO
It looks like this family was born in Tennessee and or AL. I can't find
them in either place--may have overlook them. They definitely spent some
time in Indiana. These people are not related to my Hardin County Cagles
nor that part of the family who moved to New Madrid Co., MO in 1838.
Do you think this is your family? Perhaps someone on the list can give a
hand.
David
