Just for everyone's information, the list was not orphaned. It was taken off
automatically approved messages and sent only through the gateway because of the level of
spam that had been foisted on the list. This was done by me as the former administrator
and everyone was notified that this was going to happen as this was the only way to
prevent dangerous and offensive material from getting to your mailbox.
That said, I am in severely bad health and welcome someone taking it over. I hope you will
have better luck with the spam than I.
I just wanted to set the record straight that the list was never abandoned but the upkeep
due to massive spam was overwhelming.

Dear Cagle list members,
I was contacted by Rootsweb and told the Cagle list, had been orphaned. So I am once
again the administrator.
If you are new to our list and need help with Cagle, and allied ancestors we will try to
help you.
Many of you I know have been disappointed with the list since I left. I now am in good
health and look forward to corresponding with old, as well as new list members.
I want each of you to know that your postings to me are important. If I can not answer
your query then my hope is that someone else will.
Many of you have been my internet friends for many years. Your knowledge in Cagle
genealogy, can not be bought.
You have all ways been willing to help the new folks with their questions.
I started the Cagle list, in November of 1998. So we are 15 years young.
Below is the information you need to subscribe, unsubscribe, and to search the list
archives.
As a new member searching the Cagle archives can be very helpful.
Subscribing. Clicking on one of the shortcut links below should work, but if your
browser doesn't understand them, try these manual instructions: to join CAGLE-L,
send mail to CAGLE-L-request(a)rootsweb.com with the single word subscribe in the message
subject and body. To join CAGLE-D, do the same thing with CAGLE-D-request(a)rootsweb.com.
* Subscribe to CAGLE-L
* Subscribe to CAGLE-D (digest)
Unsubscribing. To leave CAGLE-L, send mail to CAGLE-L-request(a)rootsweb.com with the
single word unsubscribe in the message subject and body. To leave CAGLE-D, do the same
thing with CAGLE-D-request(a)rootsweb.com.
* Unsubscribe from CAGLE-L
* Unsubscribe from CAGLE-D (digest)
Archives. You can search the archives for a specific message or browse them, going
from one message to another. Some list archives are not available; if there is a link
here to an archive but the link doesn't work, it probably just means that no
messages have been posted to that list yet.
* Search the CAGLE archives
* Browse the CAGLE archives
My goal is to make the Cagle list, active and the go to source for Cagle genealogy.
My kind regards,
Earl D. Cagle Sr.
The best part of genealogy is finding new family members you didn't know you have.
