My Great-Great grandma was Martha "Pine Tree", and she is indeed Cherokee.
However, I have had my DNA testing done, too, and my Native American heritage doesn't
show up. I can tell you that extensive study regarding haplotypes of Native American
people is going on right now and that the DNA test is not accurate in proving all Native
American bloodlines, especially Cherokee. It's just not sophisticated enough yet, and
I was even told that by the people who did the DNA testing. Does anyone have any updates
other than me?...Paige
