David, You asked for some more information on the Cagle DNA project. My suggestion is
for any of you that have an interest is to go to the two sites cited below. The
information is fairly straight forward and understandable for the beginner. You are in
control of the information of your DNA data except for the coordinator that must put it on
the site. Your name is never revealed, a kit number is assigned to your test kit which
identifies you on the site and you are assigned a password to access it. You are able to
compare your results to other participants that have agreed to have their analysis posted.
One site is Family Tree DNA which is the firm that actually is in charge of providing the
kits and analysis. The other site is the organization that supports the Cagle project and
for the present is coordinating the project. Should you decide to participate and I hope
several of you will you should place your order through World Families at the Cagle
project site, the!
price is better. If I can be of any assistance please let me know.

Earl,
I want to do this DNA thing, but don't want it to go somewhere that I can't
access the results and comparisons. Can you fill me in a little more to
what the procedure is?
David
