A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, in Beaverton
Foursquare Church for Carol Grace Cagle, who died Dec. 16 at age 95.
Carol Grace McFall was born Feb. 12, 1912, on a farm near Roseburg. An
opera singer, she appeared in vaudeville in the 1930s, sang with the San
Francisco Opera and sang in opera houses throughout the world. She moved in
1962 to Portland, where she was a clerk for the city of Portland for 20
years, first with the Park Bureau and then the Portland Water Bureau. She
also sang in the Portland Opera.
After she retired, she lived in Fredricksburg, Texas, and later alternated
between Yachats and Denver for 20 years before moving to Beaverton in 2000.
She married Al Richards in 1938; they divorced. In 1952, she married Arthur
Wilson; he died in 1960. She married Fred Cagle in 1976; they divorced.
Survivors include her daughters, Diane Williams and Kathy Farmer; eight
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
