Yes, i am sure there have been other Kagle's who came to America after Leonhart.
However, i believe they are all still Cagle,
ancestors. It is just another variation of the Cagle surname.
My theory is there were a small group of Kegel families living in Germany maybe as far
back as 1200 to 1300.
As we all know most surnames started out as something different as to what they are
today.
Also i have a request that all members sign their postings with at least a first name.
A lady wrote about being connected to John Cagle & Sarah Latham Cagle. My question is
how do you descend from this family?
