Larry, the link will take you to worldfamilies which provides an administrator for the
Cagle as well as other surname projects. FamilyTreeMaker is the analysis and mother site
for numerous projects. The open mind bit is the fact that there can be conception from
other than the married male spouse which will bring DNA to bear from an unknown source.
There is the possibility and it has happened where, through FamilyTree's comparison to
all analysis they have done, a surname can be identified for the heretofore unknown.
Terry Barton relates such a case in his presentations. Let me know if I may be of
assistance. Best wishes, Earl Cagle

Thanks Earl!
Is the contact info on the website link for DNA testing/participation?
Care to expand on the thought of having an open mind going into the testing?
Just wondering. Thanks again!

At the suggestion of a fellow Cagle researcher, I am back on my soap-box (took
it away from a politician). My suggestion is that you participate in the the
Cagle DNA project administered by World Families Network and headed up by Terry
Barton in Marietta, Georgia. This project is tied to the well known
FamilyTreeDNA site. You can view and contact World Families Network at
http://worldfamilies.net. With enough participating we can determine Cagle
family DNA continuity. Since FamilyTreeMaker DNA compares all the DNA they
analyze with existing DNA we may determine if their is a Dutch connection. We
may also determine that there are other DNA lines involved in the Cagle surname.
At this point I caution you that you have to enter into the program with an open
mind. Give some thought to it. Best wishes, Earl Cagle
P.S. In February, I will give the Cagle site a report on a GEN-DNA-MIA project I
am involved in.
