Leslie:
I'm only interested in Kesiah tangentially - trying to straighten out the
early Cagles in S. Mississippi. As a sister to Anna, she would have also
been a daughter of William Cagle of Lawrence Co., MS. Do you know when or
where Kesiah (Sr) died?
I descend from Roger Cagle (md Catherine Andrews) of Amite and Copiah
counties. He is a probable relative of your William, But I can't prove how
(or if).
Actually I appear to be related to almost all the early families of Lawrence
Co (Cagles, Smiths, Kees, Maxwells, Rays and others), all of whom
intermarried at various times. It's a wonder I can walk and talk!
Jimmy Cagle and I worked together on this for a number of years, but his
publication is riddled with errors, so I can't depend on it. As with so many
of us (me included), he tried to connect all the Cagles with too little
proof of relationships.
I have taken the children of both Keziah and Anna from Jimmy's publication,
but don't know if they are correct. If you have discovered them separate and
apart from
CAGLE FAMILIES in the SOUTHERN STATES, I would appreciate knowing who they
were.
My entire genealogy is on the Internet on the WorldConnect site; in the
database "zelmafch" (without the " "). Included is what little I have
(or
speculate) on your William and his children. Take a look and correct me
where I'm wrong!

Hello Mac,
No, this would be a niece of the Keziah Cagle that married John Amens.
Are you interested in John Amens and the older Keziah Cagle?
I might be able to help.
This Keziah Cagle was a sister to my 2nd-great grandmother Anna Cagle b.
1810 in Tn. died about 1852 in Ms. She married my 2nd-g-grandfather, James
Mitchell Pierce after her frist husband, Everett Smith was murdered in
Yazoo, Ms. in 1836.
I have found what appears to be her and some structure of her family of
children she had by John Amens/Ammons/Ammonds, etc. She died after 1910
in La.
Please contact me and we can visit about your connection.
