Sorry, I could not find a location for these Cagles. What state was
the census from that is cited in your email?

Need help identifying the parents of George Cagle (b Oct 1890);
Ellen Cagle (b Aug 1888) and Bessie Cagle (b Aug 1894). I know
that their paternal grandparents were Calvin and Emeline Spencer
Cagle.
My mother told me that George was first cousin to my grandfather
(Jonah Cagle - son of Ausburn Cagle and grandson to the above
mentioned Calvin and Emeline Cagle). She also said that George
married Mary Ellen Hinson (daughter of Joseph Armstead and Sarah
Allen Honeycutt Hinson and sister of Georgie Hinson (who married
Jonah Cagle)).
Per the 1900 census, George, Ellen and Bessie were living in the
household of Julius Cagle, along with their grandmother Emeline,
and were noted as being the nieces and nephew of Julius. Per the
1910 census they were living with their grandmother Emeline.
Several family trees that I have found have listed Nathan and
Youtha Nichols Cagle as their parents. However, my research seems
to contradict that conclusion. Per the 1900 census, Nathan and
Youtha are listed as having been married 23 years and that she had
given birth to only one child and that she had one child living.
That child (John C Cagle) was in the household at that time.
Since their last names are given as Cagle, assuming that these
three are siblings; and that George and Jonah are indeed first
cousins, then they would have to be children of one of the male
children of Calvin and Emeline - Alvis James; Ausburn, Manuel;
Julius; William Snowden; David J; or Nathan. Through my research,
I have been able to account for the children of everyone but Alvis
James and Manuel. I am leaning toward Alvis James as I believe
Manuel had moved to Alabama by this time.
